The Omega Uplift Foundation is a 501(c)(3) tax deductible organization dedicated to working with all members of the community to address urban health issues of African Americans in the Grand Rapids area.
The Omega Uplift Foundation is a philanthropic organization associated with the Iota Pi Chapter of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. We seek to address some of the issues that are of particular importance in the Greater Grand Rapids, Michigan community. We focus on the areas of health, education, youth mentorship, and leadership.
On Saturday, June 17, 2017, we enjoyed a fun-filled day of golf, food, and prizes while supporting a great cause! Our Annual Charles R. Drew Golf Outing is the major fundraiser for the Omega Uplift Foundation, and it helps to fund our scholarsip program and other initiatives to uplift our community. This year, the outing returns to Quail Ridge Golf Club once again. Click here for more info. The Purple Carpet Ball was hosted by the Iota Pi chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at the Amway Grand Plaza. This event is an opportunity for the area to come together to support and celebrate the achievements of people in our community. A portion of the proceeds go to Randal Burt Scholarship Fund for college-bound high school seniors.
The Omega Scouts is a Boy Scouts troop and Cub Scout Pack organized to focus on inner-city youths with programs that build character and encourage healthy living. Contributions to the Omega Uplift Foundation will help us to fund activities such as camping, hiking, fishing, swimming, canoeing, sporting events, tours of potential employers and colleges.
